Classes are taught through D2L Brightspace. Class format varies but many times includes, presentations, disscussion boards, papers, tests and other assignments.
Students have the option of enrolling in Nebraska Methodist College part-time. Those who wish to explore this option should work with an advisor to plan their schedules.
Clinical/Practicum hours are a requirement of all online nursing programs. Students may choose to fulfill this requirement somewhere that is easily accessible to them.
Some of our online programs utilize weekly virtual class meetings to assist with learning, and other online programs allow you to study at your convenience.
If virtual class meetings are a requirement of a course in which you are enrolled, your faculty member will communicate this to you in the syllabus.
Deadlines, tests and required outcomes are outlined in course syllabi. Online learning is meant to be flexible and available 24/7.
NMC may accept credit for courses taken from any educational institution if it is accredited by a regional accrediting body and if transfer credits can be applied to your program of study and required learning objectives. We encourage prospective students to visit the Transfer Student page for more information and the Transfer Student Guides.
Courses are accepted if a grade of "C-" or better is achieved at the undergraduate level. A grade of "B" or better must be achieved at the graduate level. Grades earned in transfer courses will not be used in determining the student's cumulative grade point average unless the student has already matriculated and has been given permission to enroll at another institution. All courses accepted for transfer will be noted on the transcript. Such transfer courses will be included in the total number of hours completed.
If the student has a question about any course(s) not being recognized for transfer, direct them, in writing, to the Registrar within 30 days of receipt of official transferred courses.

Courses completed more than five years ago will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis for transferability. To maximize the chance of student success in any program, we recommend that a student retake any course taken more than five years ago, regardless of whether the course is transferable.
If you have a course that you feel is a good fit for transfer credit we recommend submitting this course for review to Recruitment & Admissions Coordinator.
Prospective transfer students are encouraged to create an account in Transferology and submit their completed coursework. Once this is complete your admissions coordinator can go over your profile and discuss what your transfer path might look like at NMC.
Visit www.transferology.com to set up your account. You will be asked to share your first name, last name and email address. Once your account is created you can begin adding coursework from previous colleges attended

Transcripts will be forwarded to the Registrar's Office for an official evaluation of transfer credit once a student is admitted to the college and a deposit is received. Students will have access to review their transfer credit evaluation via the myMethodist portal. Your student ID number listed below will serve as your user ID to the myMethodsit portal. Once a deposit is received it can take up to 4-6 weeks for a official transfer evaluation to be completed.
