Nebraska Methodist College’s Skills Proved and Recognized through Knowledge (SPARK) courses provide an opportunity to engage in skill building and improve your credibility.
What are badge courses?
Badge courses allow you to acquire specialized skills to advance your career. The courses are 100% online, giving you the flexibility you need to balance learning with your busy life.
Each course consists of one to five topics of content. Students must complete the courses with a 90% or greater, but will have unlimited chances to obtain a 90%.
Upon completion of each course, you’ll receive a digital badge that allows your achievement to be displayed and shared.
*Courses are open to Methodist Health System employees only. Courses open to the general public are coming soon.

Learn how to plan for and respond to disasters in a healthcare setting. Courses focus on the National Incident Management System (NIMS), components of healthcare emergency management programs and community resources available in emergency planning.
Explore the process of evaluating scholarly literature. These courses examine how to conduct research in the library, academic research, the scientific approach and reading research.
In these courses you will explore more about the key principles of coaching, skills and techniques to effectively coach, and key considerations for improved coaching skills.
